Introduction to Products

All the DeltaXML OpenDocument products access the XML content of the OASIS OpenDocument format file (with extension .odt) which is supported by many different applications, including:

• OpenOffice.org
• Sun StarOffice
• IBM Lotus Symphony
• GoogleDocs
• Novell OpenOffice
• WordPerfect Office X4
• KOffice
• Mac OSX NeoOffice
• MacOSX Leopard TextEdit

Users of Microsoft Office can also save and open documents in ODF with an add-on from Sun now, and as built-in option in the first half of 2009

The products are available in several forms:

• ODT Compare is available as a free client-side office-suite (OOo/StarOffice/Symphony) extension
• A free service is provided on our website.  This is intended for both evaluations without having to download/install software and for small-scale use.  We'll support the service using our best efforts.
• A Java API designed for use in client-side and server-side applications.  This is designed for integration into Content Management Systems and other server-side systems.
