OpenOffice.org/StarOffice Extension

Our comparison technology is available free of charge as an extension in popular office suites.
At the current time we support OpenOffice.org, StarOffice and other derivatives.

The extension is available from the extension download site: http://extensions.services.openoffice.org/project/DeltaXMLODTCompare

What does the Extension do?

When you load the extension, you will see a new menu item 'DeltaXML Compare...' in the 'Edit' menu just under 'Compare document...'

1. In the 'Edit' menu, select 'DeltaXML Compare...'
2. In the 'Open' file dialog, select a .odt file to compare (it does not compare the currently open document - the document must be saved as a .odt file)
3. In the 'Select comparison input 2..' file dialog, select a second .odt file to compare with the first one
4. In the 'Save' file dialog, provide a new file name to save the result
5. DeltaXML ODT Compare reads the input files, compares them, saves the result and opens this file so you can see the changes.

You can also access this via the menu 'Tools' > 'Add-ons' > 'DeltaXML' > 'Compare...'

You can change the options, for example how changes are shown, via the menu item 'Tools' > 'Extension Manager...' > 'DeltaXML' > 'Options...'

The extensions manager should notify users when a new release is available.
